Hosting can generally be placed into one of two categories - shared or dedicated. As the name implies, shared hosting means you share a server and its resources with a number of other websites, and this is very much the best option for low-to-medium-traffic websites. Dedicated hosting is where your website has a whole server to itself, meaning 100% of the resources available on the machine are available to you. Depending upon the set up required, this can prove expensive, but, for high-traffic or highly-customised websites, can improve performance considerably.

At Webthinking, we have a dedicated server of our own, on which we place our clients' websites. Therefore, what we have is a near-dedicated set up, where your website should see the advantages of dedicated hosting, but at costs comparable to shared hosting.

Please note that shared hosting provided elsewhere can have upwards of 1,000 websites on a single server, which can severely affect performance.

Every website we design and develop comes with a year's free hosting on our dedicated server, meaning you don't have to worry about that extra cost until the second year.

As with all aspects of our business, we aim to provide a comprehensive and personalised support service to all of our clients, regardless of size or frequency of contact.

Free, friendly and personal advice and support are available by email and telephone whenever you need us and you can be sure to speak to someone who knows you each time you do. Whether you'd like to discuss a problem you need solving or get some advice on writing HTML for your static website pages, we're available and happy to help. Emails are answered quickly and telephone messages are returned, and this continues long after we've launched your website. In fact, it continues indefinitely!

Free bug-fixing

Bugs are an unfortunate necessity of programming, but we provide a free bug-fixing promise for your website. If you find a bug, and we agree that it is, we will fix it without charge.

Please note that this service is only provided for websites hosted on our server. This is due to the possibility of third-party tampering when hosted elsewhere, as our server is completely secure and only accessible by Webthinking staff.
