Website design

Uplifted Lingerie is a successful online retailer of lingerie. Having implemented some minor cosmetic and functional changes to their existing site, we offer an upgrade to replace their ageing and struggling system.

The project started out as a system upgrade, rather than an aesthetic one and, as such, requirements centred mainly around improving the back-end interface and functionality, together with improved navigation and browsing for the customer.

The system comes with a full management suite, allowing complete real-time control of the product catalogue. It also has a vast stock control system that manages ordering from suppliers and the allocation of products to waiting customers when shipments arrive. This is linked into a barcode scanner, which staff use to streamline their offline stock control.

In order to improve sales for Uplifted, we opted to give the site a graphical overhaul and make it much more pleasing on the eye. With this, we also implemented a new product finder and catalogue-browsing system, which enables customers to navigate the site much easier than was possible before.

Finally, it was essential that the site was search engine friendly and maintained its good rankings with the major search engines. As always, we implemented techniques to achieve this, such as rewritten URLs and fully-formed HTML.
